Silence the Silence and Shun the Guns has been, from day one, completely financially self-sufficient, whereby “its financial house is in order” to ensure that ongoing operating expenses are paid by sales and other revenue sources of Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns. And this fact demonstrates that when the time came to invite outside sources to allocate their money and resources to this initiative, 100% of their money and resources would be allocated to impact this initiative. In other words, unlike other causes, non-profits, and charities, none of the money will be used for operating expenses to ensure maximum impact. An organization such as Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns has demonstrated, from day one, that it had its financial house is in order before it asked for money and resources from outside sources and this should be the new standard and nothing less.
Money generated from the sales of the ever-expanding Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns product line and other sources, has been and will continue to be used to continue raising awareness, branding, promoting our solution. It will not be limited to the creating youth jobs campaign, sending out teams of people, going to all schools offering mentorship opportunities, followed by awarding scholarships and to fund other planned and proven strategies to ensure local communities that are in need are educated and supported on how to become economically self sufficient. There will be limitations placed on the amount of time and financial resources allocated, but no less than what is required for these communities to take over, armed with economic literacy and a successful recovery plan.
Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns is not a charity but a N.G.O.. As the clear leader in the work to reduce youth gangs and gun violence, Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns is a for-profit organization. If it becomes advantageous to change the structure of business to a charity, that change will be done.
