Silence the Silence and Shun the Guns has been, from day one, completely financially self-sufficient, whereby “its financial house is in order” to ensure that ongoing operating expenses are paid by the sales and related revenue sources of Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns. And this fact demonstrates that when the time came to invite outside sources to allocate their money and resources to this initiative, 100% of their money and resources would be allocated to impact this initiative. In other words, unlike other causes, non-profits, and charities, none of the money will be used for operating expenses in order to ensure maximum impact. An organization such as Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns has demonstrated from day one that it had its financial house is in order before it asked for money and resources from outside sources and this should be the new standard and nothing less.
Starting in 2018, Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns will be actively offering corporate sponsorship opportunities. In January 2018, a local well-known Bay Street celebrity in the Toronto downtown financial district, who has been a regular buyer of the growing items, recently cut a sizeable cheque for this initiative. That cheque was accepted based on the ongoing relationship built over the years with this celebrity. Since this celebrity met our founder years ago, there has been steady growth with the Silence the Violence and Shun the Gun initiative. The interesting fact is that this celebrity did not ask too many details at their first encounter, but the founder eagerly shared more details than what was asked. This year, there is a project our founder and this celebrity is working on. At that time or perhaps sooner, the name of this celebrity will be revealed.
Now with other organizations that wish to take advantage of the Silence the Violence and Shun the Guns corporate sponsorship opportunity, donations have not been and are not accepted.
